Mom's Spinach-Artichoke Dip

1 C Frozen, chopped spinach

1 ½ C Marinated artichokes, chopped

8 oz. Cream cheese; room temperature

½ C Mayonnaise

½ C Sour cream

½ C Shredded parmesan cheese

½ t Salt

¼ t Garlic powder

¼ t Chili flakes

Extra shredded parmesan cheese for garnish

 

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Defrost frozen, chopped spinach in the microwave (it’s okay if it gets a bit hot). In a medium bowl, combine with the cream cheese, chopped artichokes, mayonnaise, and sour cream. Stir to combine.

2. Add the shredded parmesan cheese, salt, garlic powder, and chili flakes to the bowl and stir to combine.

3. Pour the dip into an oven-safe casserole dish. Top with some extra shredded parmesan cheese.

4. Bake for 30-40 minutes, until browned on top and bubbly. Serve with crackers or tortilla chips. Enjoy!

 

 

Note: This recipe can benefit from a number of flavorful additions. A bit of smoked paprika, mustard powder, or the addition of another type of cheese (gruyere, feta) the possibilities are endless! But this is a great starting point.
